My Stadium Electric

Because I loved Love, Save the Empty so much, I decided I wanted to buy some Erin McCarley with the iTunes voucher I got for Christmas. I actually couldn't believe it when I saw the price of this album though.

FOUR FREAKING DOLLARS!

It's insane, most full-length albums are around 16 dollars on average, yet this one was only $3.99, EPs cost more for gods sake! After listening to it, I can safely say, it's the best four dollars I've ever used.

I actually can't believe it was so cheap, simply because it's SUCH a good album! None of the songs sound the same, they're each all so unique and different, it's very refreshing to listen to.

I've only listened to the album once, so I haven't really listened to many of the lyrics, but from reviews I've read, I can tell they're very quirky and unique. That's something I love about indie pop though. I feel like artists feel a lot less pressure to write something lovey-dovey and mainstream and instead can write lyrics that are a bit different.

Overall, I was very impressed with Erin's album and will definitely be buying more of her music, because I think I'm absolutely HOOKED!

Song of the Day

Love, Save the Empty - Erin McCarley

Sadly I've only just discovered this song thanks to my internet goddess, Pandora Radio. Erin McCarley was born on the 8th on January, 1979 in Garland, Texas. She had released two albums, "Love, Save the Empty" and "My Stadium Electric".

Honestly when I first heard this song, I felt like I hadn't heard anything like it before. It felt fresh, new, and I fell in love with the song and Erin's voice.
